The LGBTQ-Affirmative Psychotherapist Guild of Utah is a Utah-based, grassroots organization of licensed mental-health professionals and students-in-training. We share a collaborative commitment to make affirming culturally competent therapy available for anyone. Affirmative therapy for LGBTQ individuals is based on the premise that LGBTQ and heterosexual identities are equally valid.
Our purpose is:

• To promote excellence in mental-health services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning individuals and their relationships.
• To create an active network among LGBTQ-affirming mental-health professionals and students in Utah for purposes of empowerment, education, & professional growth.
• To enhance referral and information resources for those seeking mental-health services related to LGBTQ concerns.
